With features like language accessibility, healthcare information, and a directory of useful locations, we aim to make the transition to their new home as smooth and stress-free as possible. A comprehensive library of information and resources designed for refugees is a valuable asset for those who are in need of support and guidance. The library is designed to be user-friendly, with easy-to-navigate categories that cover a wide range of topics that are relevant to refugees. These categories include important areas such as Status, Mental Health, Housing, and more.

Each category is further divided into subtopics, providing in-depth and relevant information to refugees, along with links to trusted resources and services. These subtopics are carefully selected to address the most pressing concerns that refugees face and provide practical solutions to help them navigate their new life in a foreign land.

The library draws on a variety of sources, including ISS of BC, Mosaic BC, BC Refugee Hub, and the Government of Canada's website, to ensure that the information provided is accurate and up-to-date. The resources included in the library are carefully curated to ensure that they are reliable and trustworthy, providing refugees with the peace of mind that they are receiving the best possible support.

Easy and Intuitive Navigation

The Map Embed Feature is a convenient and user-friendly way for refugees to explore their new surroundings in British Columbia. It provides an interactive and visual representation of important locations that are relevant to refugees, including places of worship, food banks, settlement services, employment, family support, English learning, youth resources, and women's services.

Connecting with Registered Health Professionals

With over 40 essential locations in British Columbia, the Map Embed Feature offers a comprehensive and up-to-date view of the resources available to refugees. The feature is powered by JavaScript and a database of locations, ensuring a seamless navigation experience for users. The user-friendly interface and intuitive design make it easy for refugees to find the information they need and explore their new community with confidence.

Connect with Professionals

Easy and Intuitive Navigation

The Connect with Professionals feature allows refugees to find practicing and up-to-date doctors in Surrey who can speak their language. This helps to break down language barriers and other barriers to accessing healthcare, allowing refugees to receive the support they need to stay healthy and thrive in their new home.

Connecting with Registered Health Professionals

The feature supports four registered languages and three health professionals: psychologist, counsellor, physician. This provides refugees with the flexibility to choose the type of healthcare provider that best meets their needs and the comfort of knowing that the professionals they are connecting with are registered and up-to-date.

Accessible and Multilingual Support

The Accessibility for All feature is designed to ensure that all refugees, regardless of language proficiency, can access and use the resources and services offered by the library. With a user-friendly UI/UX design and clean organization, the library is easy to navigate and understand.
